Writers Guild Announces their Nominations

You can’t have a good movie without having a good screenplay, and nobody knows screenplays better than the writers themselves.  The Writers Guild  has been awarding  excellence in film television and radio since 1949.  The winners will be announced February 19, 2012 at simultaneous ceremonies in Hollywood and New York.  Here are the nominees:

Best Original Screenplay:

  • 50/50, Written by Will Reiser; Summit Entertainment
  • Bridesmaids, Written by Annie Mumolo & Kristen Wiig; Universal Pictures
  • Midnight in Paris, Written by Woody Allen; Sony Pictures Classics
