Jay Mohr Clears The Air About Jim Rome

With internet rumors circulating (imagine that!) about a possible rift between the two, Jay Mohr went to his blog to clarify where he stood with sports radio host Jim Rome. Jay thanks Rome for giving him a chance to guest host his radio show back in the day, and credited the exposure to Rome’s fanbase for part of his success. He also praised Rome’s work ethic, and how much of a fan of Rome’s show he was. He also wants to clarify he did not take Rome’s job: Jim took his show to CBS, and Jay was offered the Noon-3pm slot on Fox Sports Radio.

Jay also said Jim Rome is always invited on his Mohr Stories podcast whenever he has the time, which might indicate these rumors intensified after Rome’s appearance on the Sklar Brothers’ 200th “Sklarbro Country.” Like Jay, the Sklar Brothers were (and still are) regular guest hosts, which they spun off into their own twice-a-week podcast.
