Fox Announces Will Forte Comedy and new MacFarlane Animated Comedy for 2015

Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX), today unveiled the FOX portfolio of content for the 2014-2015 television season to the national advertising community during its annual Programming Presentation at the Beacon Theatre.

In addition to announcing Fox’s new fall comedy “Mulaney”, Fox announced three brand new comedies for 2015.

Saturday Night Live’s Will Forte is producing and starring in a brand new comedy for Fox in 2015. “The Last Man on Earth” will follow Forte’s character, Phil Miller, who is literally the last man alive on the planet. The new single camera comedy will be directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord whose recent credits include “21 Jump Street” and “The Lego Movie”.

Fox has a few other comedies lined up for 2015, including “Weird Loners” which will star Nate Torrence (from “Hello Ladies”), Becki Newton, Zachary Knighton and Meera Khumbhani); and a new animated comedy, “Bordertown,” from Family Guy’s Mark Hentemann and Seth MacFarlane which centers on two very different families living in a fictional Southwest desert town on the U.S. – Mexico border.
