Parks and Rec Writer to Release “Science…For Her!”

It’s been nearly a year scientific community was rocked to the core by the news that Megan Amram, writer for the hit comedy series Parks and Recreation, would be releasing a book about science for women. Undoubtably a herculean (or whatever the female Greek god adjectival equivalent is) task since history has shown “female brains aren’t biologically constructed to understand scientific concepts” (her words, not ours). On her blog today, Amram shared the cover of Science…For Her!, a “fun, flirty, Cosmopolitan-like textbook.”

So as not to alienate half the population, Amram concedes the book is appropriate for men as well, “especially if you’re dumb or gay!!”

Science…For Her!, published by Scribner, comes out November 4 and is available now for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Let’s hope the world can handle it.
