AMC Is Now Developing Comedies

amcAMC announced that it is going to start producing comedies. The network’s first comedy is series is “We Hate Paul Revere”, set in Colonial Boston and featuring two brothers who are trying to find the recognition they believe they deserve.

“Sober Buddies”, produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, about a washed-up surfer who becomes a sober-living coach is another project. Also a series from John Leguizamo, loosely about his life and following three male friends in New York City. And a comedy from The Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac, set at an Austin car dealership.

After so much attention has been paid to series about meth dealers and zombies, the network felt they could use a few laughs.
