NFL Stadium Won’t Allow You To Wear A Turban
With Denver playing at San Diego last week, a lot of Broncos fans showed up to root their team on against the Chargers. That included a group of Sikh fans who drove down from Fresno, who claim they were initially told they had to take their turbans off by stadium security. They were eventually let in, but told next time they’d have to leave their turbans at home. Their car was also searched by a bomb-sniffing dog after a tailgater called 911.
The Sikh religion, which originates from the Indian subcontinent and has nothing to do with Islam, requires its men to wear turbans. The San Diego incident occurred the same week a man attending a Vikings game claimed a white fan pushed other people out of the way to demand he tell him if he was a refugee.
