It was announced today that a new book, The Lyrics: Since 1962, will collect every single Bob Dylan lyric ever recorded to create “the biggest, most expensive book” Simon and Schuster has ever created. It’s about the size of an LP, 960 pages and weighs approximately 13 and a half pounds. The cost: $200 unless you want it signed. Then it will set you back $5,000.
Ummmmm aren’t these lyrics already on the web? This generation doesn’t pay for music, why would they pay for lyrics?
