We loved the Pete Holmes Show. It had a unique voice and energy, great recurring bits, and showcased some of our favorite comedians on a regular basis. So when TBS made the decision to stop airing it earlier this year, we were surprised and disappointed. It only aired for eight months, but The Pete Holmes Show clips were some of our favorite Late Night clips to share each morning. Pete’s monologues were unique, often personalized and didn’t follow a formula of sticking to ‘topical events’. The sketches were some of the funniest in Late Night. His interviews also felt decidedly different from other talk shows- in part because he had different guests appearing on his show. Next week, Pete Holmes is going to be Ron Bennington’s guest on Unmasked for a special New York Comedy Festival edition of the show. Okay this one is ranked. Comedian Joe DeRosa’s appearances as New Material Seinfeld were our favorite thing on the show.

The “Realistic” series had some of the best nostalgia for things you didn’t even realize you missed. Plus of course pointing out how stupid they were.
