The Comedian Who Changed My Life is a series where comics talk about, you guessed it, the comedian who changed their life.
Hi, this is Gary Gulman. And I would say that the comedian who changed my life would probably be David Brenner, who I first saw as a kid when he was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. And I just adored that observational humor. And then as a professional comedian, when David Letterman was out with the Heart Attack, he hosted the Letterman show and I was his comedian guest, so that was a pretty good circle that connected there. So he changed my life in two ways. He got me excited about comedy and then got me my first Letterman. Yeah, David Brenner. I love that guy.
