New Jay Mohr Special Coming to Showtime, Andrew Dice Clay To Showcase Blue Comics

Showtime has announced three big comedy specials for this spring.

Jay Mohr is back with a brand new special Jay Mohr: Happy. And A Lot.  The title comes from Jay’s personal life.  He’s happy with his life, his family, and everything else, and it hasn’t always been that way. That’s the source of his material in his new hour. That doesn’t mean life isn’t challenging for him and in the new special he talks about his home life with Nikki Cox and decision making that comes along with raising their son. Jay Mohr has a weekday radio show, his podcast “Mohr Stories”, he hosts awards shows and tours with his stand up. He’s going to have some hilarious experiences to share with the audience. His special premieres Saturday, March 14th at 10pm et on Showtime.

The Dice Man will be working blue on Showtime. To put together The Blue Show, Andrew Dice Clay has gathered some of filthiest comedians he can find.  Dice (and many other big names) got his big break on Rodney Dangerfield’s Young Comedian’s Special, so it should be interesting to see if Dice can take this hour and break some new talent.  The new special  “Andrew Dice Clay Presents The Blue Show” will showcase the talents of Erik Myers, Steve Wilson, Eleanor Kerrigan, Michael ‘Wheels’ Parise, The Smash Brothers; Cory & Chad, Colin Kane and Jason Rouse. Things get dirty and very blue on Showtime on Saturday, April 25th, at 10pm et.

Showtime will also premiere a special from the self proclaimed “America’s Gaysian Sweetheart”, Alec Mapa sometime this spring, (no date set yet) with Alec Mapa: Baby Daddy.

All of these specials will be available on Showtime On Demand after they premiere. Go to Sho.com for details.
