You Can Give Your Kid Food Allergies By Forcing Over-Protective Diets
Scientists are saying a 4-year-old who went into an allergic shock after eating a spoonful of yogurt is a warning against parents who force crazy diets on their kids. This kid’s parents had excluded dairy, wheat, soy, egg, fish, shellfish, sunflowers, lentils, rice, potato, ham, pasta, and nuts from his diet– he was mostly fed vegetables. Experts say these diets can make kids unnecessarily intolerant to foods when they would not be otherwise. We’d like to apologize to all the kids whose parents make them eat cabbage while all their friends have burgers.
