Yankees GM Wants Jeter To Be The Last Captain

Brian Cashman has strong feelings about Derek Jeter’s legacy with the Yankees.
He said this on ESPN radio:
“As far as I’m concerned, and I’m not the decision maker on this, that captaincy should be retired with No. 2,” Cashman said. “I wouldn’t give up another captain’s title to anyone else.”
Everyone loves Jeter, but Cashman may have lost his mind a little bit here. A-Rod is always available to take on the role of Team Captain, he’s got the gumption for it.
