Who Wore It Best: SNL Edition

Every Saturday night we see our political figures and presidents’ portrayed by the cast members of SNL. By comparing two SNL castmembers who portrayed a political figure, This list will decide once and for all who wore that persons clothes better.

Political Figure #5: Donald Trump

Four people have been on the iconic wig, Phil Hartman, Darrell Hammond, Jason Sudekis and Taran Killem. This impersonation calls for a cast member rematch: Hartman Vs Hammond II.

Phil Hartman. Hartman originated the Trump impression on SNL back in 1988 and would play him four more times in his tenure. Back in a time when Trump was in the news less about wanting to rule the free world and more just about getting divorced and being rich. Hartman had a knack for impressions and was great at turning those impressions into characters of their own.

Darrell Hammond. Hammond portrayed Trump eighteen times from October 2, 1999 to December 10, 2011 and continues to do more appearances as him now since he is the announcer for SNL. Hammond took the reins when he went from celebrity to superstar during his boom period after the premier of The Apprentice when he doubled down on putting his name everywhere he could.
