Who Wore It Best: SNL Edition

Every Saturday night we see our political figures and presidents’ portrayed by the cast members of SNL. By comparing two SNL castmembers who portrayed a political figure, This list will decide once and for all who wore that persons clothes better.

Political Figure #1: Bill Clinton

Clinton was portrayed by five different cast members since his debut. Those cast members include Phil Hartman, Michael McKean, Darrell Hammond, Dana Carvey and Beck Bennett but it is no question that the two most prolific and best to do it were Hartman and Darrel Hammond.

Phil Hartman.  Hartman was a cast member on SNL from 1986 – 1994 and is obviously known for much more than just that. Hartman played Clinton 18 times from March 14, 1992 to May 7, 1994.

Darrell Hammond.  Hammond was a cast member from 1995 – 2009, at the time of his departure he was not only the oldest cast member in the shows history, appeared in the most sketches and had a longer tenure than anyone else as well. Hammond put on the Clinton wig 84 times from October 28, 1995 to September 24, 2009
