The week starts off with Veterans Day, a holiday where we celebrate all those who served our country and celebrate their fighting spirit by staying home from work and catching up on our binge-watching in our pajamas. We also start the week with two great stand up performances on our late night television schedule.
D.J. Demers will be performing on Conan on Monday night. You may remember D.J. from either his previous appearances on Conan or from wowing the judges on “America’s Got Talent” back in 2016. His new comedy special “D.J. Demers: Interpreted“, the first to feature a sign language interpreter translating the entire show, came out this summer and is available on all major streaming platforms.
Later on Monday, Andy Haynes will be doing a stand up set on the Late Late Show with James Corden. Andy is expanded his late night resume by appearing on the Late Late Show. He’s previously been seen on Fallon, Conan, The Pete Holmes show, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, along with his Comedy Central “Half Hour” special.
On Tuesday, there’s plenty of very funny guests scheduled for the late night shows. Be sure to check the full listings below. One of Tuesday’s highlights includes Matteo Lane on Lights Out with David Spade. Besides touring comedy clubs across the country, Matteo is also showing off his singing skills with his unique show “Matteo Lane: Streisand at the Bon Soir with Henry Koperski“. Matteo recreated this legendary Barbra Streisand show at the New York Comedy Festival this past weekend and will be revisiting Streisand again next month at the Bon Soir at Joe’s Pub on December 17th. Besides comedy and singing, Matteo Lane also has mad gossip skills which he’ll be showing off on Lights Out on Tuesday night.
It’s worth staying up on Wednesday night to catch Late Night with Seth Meyers when his guest is one of comedy fans’ favorite stand ups working today, Sebastian Maniscalco. The winter leg of the “Sebastian Maniscalco: You Bother Me Tour” is underway with dates coming up in Florida and California. Smart move for the winter dates. Thursday night there’s more late night stand up comedy with Ian Lara is getting the break of a young comedian’s lifetime; a spot on the Tonight Show! Ian is a New York City based comedian and is quickly becoming one of the hottest stand ups today. This year, he taped a set for “Comedy Central Stand Up Featuring” and has appeared on NBC’s “Bring The Funny.” Good things keep coming Ian’s way including the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.
The weekend features plenty of comedy including Tig Notaro making an appearance on the Tonight Show and a brand new Saturday Night Live. This Saturday’s SNL is brand new and it will be the second time this season that the show’s host is also serving as the musical guest. Harry Styles from One Direction boy band fame will be pulling double-duty on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Stay up late this week. Your laughs depend on it.
