This week, we celebrate the 4th of July! And like most people across the country, all our late night talk show hosts are celebrating their independence from working, even James Corden who’s British, which seems a little hypocritical on his part.
Our late night talkers have meticulously put together some “Best Of” episodes for their audiences to enjoy all week and they’ve made sure to include some terrific comedy guests in their selected repeat shows. Except for Jimmy Kimmel, who starts his week of reruns on Monday with a JKL where his guests are the Kardashian sisters. Showing that Kimmel may not exactly know what the term “Best Of” really means.
Here’s some rerun highlights for this week.
Once we’re past Monday, Jimmy Kimmel definitely redeems himself with a great week of comedy guests. On Tuesday, JKL welcomes one the best names in the stand up business right now, Tiffany Haddish on a repeat Jimmy Kimmel Live. On Wednesday, Kimmel re-airs his most recent interview with Kevin Hart. On Thursday, Kimmel has a Seth Rogen rerun and on Friday night, Jimmy Kimmel Live replays his episode with special guest, the elusive Chris Tucker.
The Tonight Show has some great comedy guest repeats lined up this week for Jimmy Fallon’s vacation. On Tuesday, Fallon has Julia Louis-Dreyfus on his repeat. His pal from his SNL days, Amy Poehler is on Wednesday’s Tonight Show rerun. And on Thursday, Fallon replays the Tonight Show where Ramy Youssef stops by. His brand new stand up special, “Ramy Youssef: Feelings” is now available on HBO On Demand.
Conan O’Brien’s vacation episodes this week include Tony Hale from “Veep” and “Toy Story 4” (Tuesday), one of his favorite guests Kevin Nealon (Wednesday) and the man who puts the great in great late night guests, Martin Short (Thursday).
And this weekend, if you’re a fan of guys who are both built and talk to fish (and who isn’t), Jason “Aquaman” Momoa is hosting a repeat episode of Saturday Night Live with musical guests, Mumford & Sons during SNL‘s summer hiatus.
This week in late night, it’s watch, laugh and repeat!
