Whitey Bulger Was Caught Masturbating In Cell, Slapped With 30 Days of Solitary

A newly released disciplinary record was obtained with information that infamous South Boston mobster Whitey Bulger was discovered last June in his prison cell masturbating (with the light on) and was reported by a corrections officer who was doing rounds. The act cost him 30 days in solitary confinement. Bulger fought the charges claiming that he was applying a medicated ointment and stating “I’m 85 years old. My sex life is over.” No matter what was happening there, 30 days in the hole for touching your own penis has to fall under cruel and unusual punishment.
