Which Long Island Actually Invented The Long Island Iced Tea?

Long Island, New York and Long Island, Tennessee are in a fight over who actually invented the super boozy drink the Long Island Iced Tea. The people of Tennessee claim it was first invented by a bootlegger in the 1930’s where as the one in New York is said to be invented by a bartender on Long Island in 1972. What we all can agree on is only a child would want to drink one.
