Welcome To Sweden Gets 2nd Season In 2 Countries

NBC is renewing “Welcome to Sweden” for a 10 episode second season. The import series which is produced in Europe, and was created by and stars Greg Poehler, was already picked up for a second season in Sweden on TV4.

The comedy, which is executive produced by and guest stars Amy Poehler was the second-highest-rated Summer comedy debut on the Big Four broadcast networks in the past five years. It was only behind NBC’s “Undateable” in the adult demo ratings which was also renewed for a second season. The series is based on Greg Poehler’s real life experiences of moving to his girlfriend’s native Sweden and experiencing the culture shock of dealing with a new country and his girlfriend’s family.

NBC has renewed most of its summer lineup, including American Ninja Warrior, America’s Got Talent and Last Comic Standing.
