Saturday Night Live fans of the late 80s and early 90s rejoice. Your hero is returning with a brand new comedy special. The trailer has been released for “Dana Carvey: Straight White Male 60”. The special will be released on Netflix early next month.

The man best known for his SNL characters, the Church Lady, Garth from Wayne’s World and Hans from Hans and Franz, plus his impressions including writing the how-to on impersonating President George H.W. Bush, is now 60 years old and ready to tell things from a straight white male’s point of view. Netflix describes the new Dana Carvey special as “unapologetic”. That may be because all the bad things that straight, white males at age 60, get accused of, Dana thinks those things pretty much define him. Rather than fight it, he accepts the labels that go along with being a Caucasian, heterosexual middle-age man including being “racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, and misogynistic.”

The Emmy award winning Carvey filmed the special over two nights during performances at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston. Watching the trailer (provided below) it’s hard to figure out how Dana Carvey is going to fit everything he wants to talk about into a one hour special. He discusses his kids getting older, middle-age sex, Jesus’ drinking, the explosion of social media, and he’s bringing his latest impression to the stage that he’s added to his extensive repertoire, Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Netflix is wrapping up its 2016 year with two months of highly anticipated stand up comedy specials. “Dana Carvey: Straight White Male, 60” kicks it off in the beginning of November. That’s followed by “Colin Quinn: The New York Story” which debuts Friday, November 18th. One half of the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update anchor team debuts his new special with “Michael Che Matters” premiering Friday, November 25th (the day after Thanksgiving). Then Netflix has two stand up special arriving in December. First, it’s the one-of-a-kind “Reggie Watts: Spatial” on Tuesday, December 6th and then Fluffy is back with “Gabriel lglesias: I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry” debuting Tuesday, December 20th.

Get ready to find out why Dana Carvey doesn’t give a fuck about Benjamin (watch the trailer, you’ll understand) when “Dana Carvey: Straight White Male 60” premieres on Netflix on Friday, November 4th.
