US Soccer Suspends Hope Solo After She And Hubby Get DUI In Team Van

America’s best goalkeeper (with hair) had domestic violence charges against her dismissed earlier in January, which made it look like Solo’s year was looking up going into a World Cup. But then she and her husband, former NFLer Jerramy Stevens, were pulled over for a DUI in L.A. The details aren’t flattering: while Stevens was driving, Solo was belligerent with the cops the entire time and nearly got a disorderly conduct arrest. Oh, and both played the “Do you know who I am?” card. Even though she wasn’t driving, US Soccer suspended Solo a month for the incident. But that’s probably because they were both in the USWNT van.
Of course, you could have avoided it by mentioning this in the middle of that “no smoking, food, or drink” speech.
