U.S. Army Changing Dog Tags For The First Time In 40 Years

dogtagThe Army is changing dog tags for the first time in 40 years because up until now if you found a lost pair of dog tags you basically could steal someones identity. It had their name, bloodtype, religion and social security number, On the new dog tags, the service member’s Social Security number will be replaced with a randomly-generated, 10-digit Department of Defense identification number. Does this make the dog tag you bought in 5th grade at the Intrepid a collectible?
