TV Viewers Are Quickly Getting Older

The age of traditional TV viewers is rapidly getting older. The median age for a network and cable watcher is now 44.4 years old, up 6% in four years. It goes higher when looking at the median age for just network TV viewers – 53.9 years old, up 7 percent from four years ago. This means TV viewers are aging faster than the U.S. population. If a network decided to put Murder She Wrote reruns on in prime time, they’d have a number one show.
