Tina Fey and Amy Poehler To Join Radio City Spectacular

New York Spring Spectacular - The New York Public Library scene

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have already dominated SNL, they’ve already crushed on their respective shows 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, and now they will be heard in the legendary Radio City Music Hall this Spring.

Fey and Poehler will provide the voices of the iconic New York Public Library lion statues for Radio City’s New York Spring Spectacular which debuts in March.

The spectacular seems like it will be a worthy rival to the spectacle that has drawn millions of people to Radio City at Christmastime with jaw dropping staging, and effects that could only be pulled off with the magic of Radio City– including literally making it rain on stage.  Producer Harvey Weinstein has put together what he calls his “Dream Team” to salutes all things New York in this show which is being billed as 12 years in the making.

The show stars Tony winner Laura Benati, Emmy Award winner Derek Hough, The World Famous Radio City Rockettes and will feature video cameos by sports stars Mariano Rivera, Walt Frazier, Carmelo Anthony, Henrik Lundquist, Odell Beckham, Jr. and Victor Cruz; plus Tri-State-born celebrities Kelly Ripa, Martha Stewart, Donald Trump, 50 Cent, and others. Native New Yorker Whoopi Goldberg will join teen sensation Bella Thorne to provide the voices for the puppets in the production as well.

The chemistry between Fey and Poehler is unstoppable, which can only mean they will have another scene stealing performance at the biggest stage in the world, Radio City Music Hall.

The New York Spring Spectacular will have a limited seven week engagement at the theater. Previews begin March 12th, opens March 26th and will run through May 3rd
