The New York Yankees and hockey’s Philadelphia Flyers have played singer Kate Smith’s famous rendition of “God Bless America” during games but that’s all coming to an end because the organizations just now found out about some other Kate Smith tracks named “Pickaninny Heaven” and “That’s Why Darkies Were Born”. Basically their reasoning for not knowing is “We didn’t check her Wikipedia”.
