The Avengers Press Tour Is Getting Worse And Worse

With the lead up to “Avengers: Age of Ultron” coming out, there’s been one press junket screw up after another. Most recently, Robert Downey Jr. was talking to the Guardian and addressed Birdman director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu’s comments about superhero films.

“Look, I respect the hell out of him, and I think for a man whose native tongue is Spanish to be able to put together a phrase like ‘cultural genocide’ just speaks to how bright he is.”

Some have taken his comments to be racist and they aren’t happy. If the cast of Avengers want to be racist, sexist, divas who walk out on interviews, let them be. It’s what Stan Lee would have wanted.
