Stephen Hawking Shares Plan To Launch Micro Probes To Reach Our Nearest Neighboring Star

Stephen Hawking has teamed up with Russian entrepreneur Yuri Milner and announced a new project, Breakthrough Starshot, to send tiny lightweight space probes to our nearest neighboring star, Alpha Centuri. If their plans are successful, these probes can reach the star, which is 4 light years away, in just 20 years from its launch date. Just promise us should your probes come across alien life forms, don’t lead them back to Earth. It doesn’t give us nearly enough time to clean this place up and make it look like we haven’t been fucking this planet up.
