“Stan” Has Been Added To the Dictionary

The phrase “Stan” or “Stanning” has been added to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, defined as “an extremely or excessively enthusiastic and devoted fan” and “to exhibit fandom to an extreme or excessive degree” or “to be an extremely devoted and enthusiastic fan of someone or something”. The term comes from the Eminem song “Stan” and has become one of the biggest internet slang words over the past few years. We’re about a year away from “The Feels” getting added.
