Springsteen To Make Acting Debut On Steven Van Zandt’s “Lilyhammer”

Steven Van Zandt has a third season of his crime comedy “Lilyhammer” coming up later this year on Netflix and he has some friends joining him.

Bruce Springsteen will be appearing in Season 3 and it will mark his acting debut. The Boss did do a cameo in “High Fidelity”, but as himself. This will be the first time Springsteen is on camera playing character. He’ll be playing the owner of a mortuary. So, it’s doubtful that he’ll have his guitar with him.

Also making an appearance in Season 3 according to Deadline, is The Sopranos’ Paulie Walnuts, Tony Sirico. Steven Van Zandt’s cast mate from the HBO series will show up on “Lilyhammer” as a priest.

In the series, Van Zandt plays a former mobster who relocates to Norway as part of the witness protection program. Netflix says the new season of “Lilyhammer” will be in late 2014, but no premiere date has been set yet.
