Sam Smith’s Oscar Win Causes Drama

Sam Smith caused some controversy at last night’s Oscars when he claimed to be the first openly gay man to win one; social media was quick to point out that several have before including Elton John and “Milk” screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. Black in particular wasn’t having it, and used the opportunity to throw some “shade”, as the kids say. (Black’s fiance is 21 year old British Olympic diver Tom Daley).
