Russian Man Volunteers For Worlds First Head Transplant

valery spiridonovA Russian man suffering from Werdnig-Hoffman disease, which wastes away muscle, is volunteering to be the first person to undergo a head transplant. It will be performed by the Italian doctor Sergio Canavero, who tells the world he’s able to do it. And if it doesn’t work he can live out the rest of his days as a head in a jar. Good luck falling asleep tonight while you stare at the ceiling trying to figure out why they don’t call this a body transplant. You’re keeping the head right? Right!?
