Japan is experimenting with new humanoid robots and has just opened up their first phone store with an entirely robot staff. “Pepper” is the emotional robot that engages with costumers and responds with customers accordingly by reading their facial movements and gauging the the customers tone. So Japan has created a robot that mimics human emotion and named it Pepper? They are far behind Astoria, Queens who has had the technology for the past 32 years.
