People Are Losing Their Vision And No One Knows Why

Researchers have found that “myopia” (or nearsightedness) has doubled in the United States since the 1970s. That means more kids are losing their long distance eyesight and no one seems to know why. One theory is that kids (especially young kids) are spending too much time inside and not going outside where their eyes are trained to judge long distances. Another theory is that video games and screens could be the issue. Whatever the reason for the rise in myopia, the nerds should be to blame. First they take over mainstream culture and now they’re making it so everyone is a “four-eyes”.
