Not Safe with Nikki Glaser Premiers in 2016

Not Safe - S1

The folks at Comedy Central have been slowly working towards multi-platform inundation with interactive shows like @midnight and The Nightly show’s “keeping it 100” tweet questions to Larry Wilmore. In 2016, they are taking it a whole new level with Nikki Glaser. If you are going to use the internet and social media to its fullest potential, it’s safe to say you should make it about sex. Enter, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser.

Premiering Feb 9 at 10:30 PM ( right after Tosh.o, because nothing says get ready for sex more than a lead in of a guy setting his balls on fire, I digress) Not Safe promises “ a place for comics to joke, learn, and share their personal stories about sex and relationships. It’s a destination to discover, ogle, and laugh about all things sex through a fun, frank, fast-paced show with panel discussion, field pieces, and social experiments that is equal parts hilarious and titillating.”

According to CC, the show will come with auxiliary materials. Not only the usual suspects Twitter and Instagram, but also personal time on periscope with Glaser and a snapchat original series “Quickie with Nikki”.

This show offers a unique chance for frank discussions about sex and sexuality. Additionally, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser will produce digital exclusives and extended segments for cc.com and YouTube, offer weekly sneak peek and highlight clips, and fans of the series will be encouraged to share their own potentially “not safe” content with Glaser across multiple platforms. It will be interesting to see if the viewing audience’s desire to get on TV will outweigh the potential embarrassment of revealing deep sexual secrets to a panel of comedians.

For the feminists out there, Glaser is listed as an executive producer, so it IS safe to say she is cool with CC whoring her out all over the internet.
