North Korea Invents Its Own Timezone, Because They’re The Best
North Korea decided that to break from the time zone used by “wicked Japanese imperialists,” who “deprived Korea of even its standard time,” it will invent its own. The new time zone, Pyongyang Time, will be 30 minutes behind Japan and 12.5 hours ahead of EST. Nothing sticks it to the Japanese like forcing everyone in North Korea to reset their watches.
