NFL Will Have Tougher Punishments For Domestic Abuse Cases

goodellRoger Goodell is trying to make up for the bad press he got after giving the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice a two game suspension for knocking out his wife and dragging her unconscious body out of a casino elevator. He and the NFL announced stricter punishments for these violations which would now result in a six game suspension for a first offense for domestic violence or sexual assault and an indefinite ban for a second offense committed by any NFL player. The penalties are stiffer if it turns out the player led with his helmet and launched his body.
