New York Restaurant Under Fire For Offering “Clean Chinese”

A new restaurant in New York City is getting criticized after its ownership promised to provide diners with a “clean” alternative to local American Chinese cuisine. White chef Arielle Haspel said “There are very few American-Chinese places as mindful about the quality of ingredients as we are,” and people are upset she’s not only culturally appropriating but bashing most Chinese food in general. Come on, if the chinese place has a health grade higher than B, then it isn’t good.
