Netflix to Premiere Hannibal Buress Doc “Hannibal Takes Edinburgh”
Comedy Hype reported that Hannibal Buress has partnered up with Netflix to release a documentary, titled Hannibal Takes Edinburgh, about his 2013 trip to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.
Buress spent 28 days performing for packed out venues in Edinburgh, the site for the largest arts and comedy festival in the world. The film is a mix of Buress’s observations both on and off the stage, following the comedian as he performs night after night and muses on the life of a traveling comic.
Buress’s career has been figuratively strapped to a rocket for the last two years. The comedian plays beloved character Lincoln on Broad City and regularly appears on The Eric Andrew Show, both of which have helped bring attention to his hilarious stand-up specials, such as Animal Furnace and Hannibal Buress Live from Chicago. His most recent special, Comedy Camisado, was released on Netflix in February.
