Netflix Killed The Piracy Star
With streaming services more popular than ever, the use of BitTorrent has dropped significantly and greatly reduced file sharing piracy. According to Christian Science Monitor, “While the file-sharing service BitTorrent once occupied 31 percent of the total Internet traffic in 2008, this year it occupied 5 percent of the total Internet traffic during the entire day.” Does this mean we all have to turn in our virtual eye patches and shoulder parrots? We’ve all really grown attached to the shoulder parrots.
