Netflix CEO Doesn’t Think There Will Be Another Billion Dollar Movie

Netflix Chief Ted Sarandos believes that the practice of going to the movies, including how expensive it is to get there, buying a ticket, buying snacks, maybe getting a babysitter and then possibly dinner afterwards does not seem feasible anymore. Sarandos believes that subscription services just make more sense and that “Not all movies, but most movies. So Beauty and the Beast may be the last billion-dollar movie ever. It’s possible.” After hearing this, Disney producers are scrambling to produce an Avengers/Star Wars/Live Action Disney remake crossover franchise.
