Netflix Announces ‘Lady Dynamite’ Season Two Premiere Date

We’ve known for awhile that Netflix’s Lady Dynamite had been renewed, but many have been waiting with bated breath to find out when a second season would be on the way. Those people are now dead, because it’s simply not possible to hold one’s breath that long. Those of us who decided to breathe while anxiously waiting for season two, however, are alive to hear the good news: Season 2 of Lady Dynamite will premiere on Netflix on November 10th.

Today, Netflix released an announcement trailer for the hit series, which shows that Bamford and the writing team haven’t let up on the weird-factor one bit. Coming from the mind of Maria Bamford, that’s not at all surprising. The show is loosely based on Bamford and some of her real-life experiences, including her struggles with mental health issues, and embraces the surreal and bizarre with open arms and to great effect. If you haven’t seen season one, do yourself a favor and go check it out, because it’s one off the most highly-rated Netflix originals for a reason.

Lady Dynamite stars Maria Bamford, Fred Melamed, Mary Kay Place, Ana Gasteyer, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and is written by Pam Brady (South Park) and Mitchell Hurwitz (Arrested Development).
