Some Key Takeaways for me from his Speech:
– Space Influences Culture
– We shouldn’t limit ourselves to trying to go to one place at a time (i.e. Mars), we should be trying to go EVERYWHERE all the time
– We can do this with a fleet of spacecraft but we need to double NASA’s budget
– Currently the US Government spend only .5% of every dollar on NASA, we need to double that to just 1%
– Space exploration can improve humanity
– Some ways it can improve humanity include, mining asteroids for precious metals, extracting fuel form other planets, putting Nuclear reactors on other planets out of harms way, etc.
