NBA Players Spend Your Yearly Salary Each Month

Kathleen Pender of the San Francisco Chronicle did a study on how much the average NBA player spends per month and that number will haunt your dreams. They spend $42,500 per month on average, meaning $510,000 a year. She even broke it down into percentages and the categories they spend on. Basically, they could pay you more than your salary to hang around for the year and probably not even notice. Put up a Craigslist ad.

Clothing/shoes: 11 percent
Automotive: 9 percent
Travel: 8 percent
Restaurants: 7 percent
Charitable giving: 7 percent
Entertainment: 6 percent
