All of these photos appeared in the Bartram Trail HS yearbook, but only 1 was digitally altered because the yearbook coordinator believed it violated the student code of conduct. Dominique Wilkins who is one of the NBA’s biggest legends (and played for Altanta!) says he was turned away from an Atlanta restaurant because of his race. The restaurant initially said they didn’t have any tables, then changed the story to say Wilkins did not meet the business casual dress code which prohibits baseball caps and athletic clothing including sweat pants and tops. The only problem is he wasn’t wearing any of those things, he had casual pants and a shirt on.

The restaurant issued an apology for any confusion or for Wilkins feeling unwanted. “Our upscale dining experience and our brand’s culture is made up of multiple elements, which include our music, our food and our patrons’ attire. We continue to strive to manifest our dining experience in a way that is exciting and most importantly, inclusive.”

We apologize we didn’t know he was black AND famous.
