Mike Polk Jr’s First Album Debuts at #3 on iTunes

His album has been available on all digital platforms for three days, but Mike Polk Jr.’s debut album “Baseless Arogance” already hit #3 on iTunes. Released by Comedy Dynamics and recorded in a bowling alley in his native Cleveland, the up-and-coming comedian could attribute this success to his YouTube fans.

Polk’s YouTube channel has reached more than 50 million views. His most notable video, “Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video” went viral with over 7.6 million views. The comedian also wrote a book, “Damn Right I’m From Cleveland”, invented the drinking card game Cleveland Drinks: The Ohio Party and sang “Spanish Love Song” for Kim Kardashian on Spanish channel Telemundo. The love song is the last track of his new record.

He’s obviously enamored with his hometown and is a member of the sketch comedy group “Last Call Cleveland”, which tours throughout the Northeast. Cleveland might be just as biased for its son; Polk was named one of Cleveland Magazines’ Most Interesting People and the readers of Scene Magazine voted him Cleveland’s Best Local Comedian.

Comedy Dynamics is an independent comedy powerhouse. They’ve churned out eight Grammy-nominated albums in the last two years. Their roster included Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Jim Gaffigan and Louis C.K.’s “Louis C.K.: Live at Madison Square Garden”, winner of Best Comedy Album at the 2016 Grammys. The production company isn’t limited to stand up albums; they also produce History Channel’s “Join or Die with Craig Ferguson” and MTV2’s “Wild ‘N Out” tour. Their projects are available through Hulu, Roku, iOS, Amazon, Android and many streaming platforms.
