McConaughey/Gus Van Sant Film Gets Booed At Cannes

Gus Van Sant’s new film, starring Matthew McConaughey, The Sea Of Trees, was booed and bashed at its Cannes premier. The film is about the forest in Japan where people go to commit suicide. McConaughey’s character travels there after his wife dies.
One critic described the film:
If Gus Van Sant's filmography can be divided, Scorsese-style, into "one for me, one for them," SEA OF TREES is one for nobody. #Cannes

They really lost the crowd when McConaughey dropped this line, ‘That’s what I love about these corpses man. I get older, they stay the same age.’
