You May Be Living in the Matrix Sooner Than You Think
Yeah it seems cool that you could be sitting at home in your comfy house interacting in a virtual world with your colleagues, and skipping the hassles of commuting, and catching the flu from that asshole who sits two cubicles down from you. Jeremy Bailenson, the founder of Stanford University’s Virtual Human Interaction Lab, a company dedicated to making our lives better through virtual interaction said “My dream is for us to look back at my dad’s hour-long commute each way in a row of boxes the way we look back smoking in hospital beds.”
Sure Jer. Why not just cut to the chase and stay in your warm cozy Matrix pod while you virtually live a life? Human interaction? Ick.
