Map Porn: See How Music Tastes Change Across America
Not only can you google any zip code and get a playlist based on the area’s music preference, but the New York Times has also made a bunch of maps that show how Americans’ interest in artists changes state-by-state. The lighter the shade of purple, the less popular the artist is in that region. They would have put a Nickelback map, but they couldn’t create a deep enough shade of purple for how much everyone in the country loves them.
