A 33-year-old British consultant admitted to spending over $700,000 on Manhattan psychics. He told The New York Times that he “just got sucked in” as psychics claimed they needed jewelry and checks to help with problems like reincarnating his dead ex-girlfriend. The man paid 90k to one psychic who said she needed the cash to “build a bridge of gold in another dimension to trick an evil spirit” that was haunting his ex-girlfriend. No word on whether the man will ever get access to that cool golden bridge.
