Macy’s Dumps Trump

Trump may be in second place in the Republican nomination race, but he’s not doing so well in the business community these days. Macy’s department stores announced yesterday that they are severing business ties with Donald Trump.  The move echo’s NBC’s decision, announced earlier this week, to sever ties with Trump. Both companies said they made their decision based on Trump’s derogatory statements made about Mexicans during his presidential intention speech. In the case of his NBC rift, Trump immediately insisted that they didn’t fire him, he fired them. Coincidentally he is now saying it was his decision to break off business ties with Macy’s cause he didn’t like their arrangement.  Now that Trump has mastered the “you didn’t fire me, I fired you” defense with a straight face, we expect him to move on to the ever popular “I know you are but what am I” line of defense next.
